PROJECT 3: Synergy - Summary
I think my final animation turned out quite well. Spent so much time and effort to this project. The theme of the animation is basically turning dark environment into a bright and joyful environment. Light is the turning point of the story where it triggers these colourful lines to move and changes the mood of the environment.
PROJECT 3: Synergy - Post Production
This is where I did a lot of changes. Finding mistakes from the scenes and realized I had to re-render the whole scenes.
Things I had to change
- Exposures were adjusted
- Shadows were changed where some of the shadows were too dark
- The animation was not matching with the footage so had to adjust the the environment models

PROJECT 3: Synergy - Lights & Textures
Omni light and skylight lights were used in every scene. Omni lights were used to highlight the shadows and skylight was used for the environment itself.
As for the textures I have applied with bright colours for the lines. I had to adjust the material settings for reflection to be low.

PROJECT 3: Synergy - Modeling
After exporting the camera, I managed to run the script in 3ds max. This was where epic headache came in where I had to adjust the grid so it matched the angles and perspective to the footage. This would allow me to model the lines easier and it would make it look more realistic.
Modeling the splines for path was very time consuming because in 3d environment splines would not be orientated in the right place. Rectangle was created and extruded in the modifier to model the 3d lines. The Path Deform Binding was used to follow the spline.

Scene 9

Surrounding environment was modeled for shadows on the buildings. Then it was applied with matte/shadow/reflection.
